I'm sure we'll go again, but this Friday we went apple picking for the first time this season (we'll probably head back again in late September to get our favorite variety - Blushing Gold). Thomas and Kate came up for a visit and joined the chaos of the stay-at-home mom on an adventure. It was adventurous to say the least. Eliza decided it was too hot to be in her carrier, so I had to hold her the entire time. The boys actually did amazingly well, seeing as it was their naptime and they walked the entire time. The meltdowns came later in the day as we went to pick out a celebration dinner at Earth Fare. Picture a mother exiting the store, pulling a screaming 4.5 year old. Luckily, Kate was with me to pay and man the other boy. Sigh. Each choice has it's consequences, hence apple picking during nap time without the father in 90 degree weather comes back to bite you around 5.

We want to pick apples with you guys! I feel your pain carrying your sweet little girl around. Jane weighed 16 pounds, 13 oz at 4 mos (98th percentile)... I can't even carry her in the car seat any more, it's too heavy!!! Give your little chunkster a kiss from me! Miss you and love you!
